Textile Recycling
Got blown-out pants, mustard-stained shirts, or holey running shoes? The University of Richmond has a convenient way to recycle textile waste!
The Clothes Bin® will take it all. The green and blue bin located next to the South Court dumpster enclosure is free for faculty, staff, and students. Donations will be graded and separated. Items that are in good shape will be sold to thrift stores, and damaged items will be shredded, cleaned, and formed into pellets that can be used for insulation and padding.
Don't live or work near South Court? Bring your textile waste to the Spider Exchange instead! The dedicated staff and student employees will haul those bags of tattered gym shorts and sweat-boiled socks to the bin for you.
Where is The Clothes Bin container?
