Sophie is a junior studying culture and communication (global studies) and Latin American, Latino, and Iberian studies (LALIS). She is passionate about finding alternatives to development and consumption that are centered around auto-sustainability, equity, and the interconnectedness of all organisms, populations, and processes on this planet. She loves eating wild plants, walking ridgelines, getting her hands dirty, and challenging our agricultural, economic, and political global systems. Sophie spent the past semester learning about pretty much everything important in Ecuador, and she plans to return to Latin America to study and find her niche.
